How to register for AHGP

Video consultations at CHMC utilise the AHGP app – available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. This app must be downloaded, registered and running on your device for the consultation to take place.

Installing the App

Download AHGP on iOS App Store for Apple devices or the Google Play store for Android devices. You can install the app on your phone or tablet by searching for “AHGP” in either store.

Registering on AHGP

You will need to register when using the App for the first time. 

If registering by email, a verification email will be sent to your email address. The activation link must be clicked before you can log in to the app.

Once you have registered, appointments during regular business hours (8am to 8pm), this can be made by visiting https://castlehillmedicalcentre.com.au and booking an appointment online via HotDoc.

Alternatively, you can call us on 02 9634 5000 to request a telehealth video appointment. You do not need to request an appointment from within the AHGP app for regular telehealth consultations – in-app requests are only for After Hours telehealth.

 

After Hours Appointments

The AHGP app can also be used to request after hours appointments (after 8pm or before 8am), depending on GP availability. These appointments can put you directly in touch with a GP when reception staff are unavailable.
To make an appointment with a GP, tap the “Request After Hours Video Call” button from the main menu.


You will first be asked to answer a short series of questions. Your answers may help our doctors manage patient files, assess your medical condition, or provide other useful information that might be needed before the call takes place

Note that if any of your answers indicate a medical emergency, you will not be able to go further and will instead be asked to dial 000.


Once you have answered all the questions, you will be asked if the appointment is for yourself or someone else (a family member, for example). You will then be presented with options:

Preferred Doctor: This will show a list of doctors at the medical centre. You can select who to send the request to, and which time suits you – from a list of that GP’s available times.
• Preferred Time: This will show a list of available times for all doctors. Simply select the time that suits you, and then select from the list of GPs that are available at that time.

Registering on HotDoc

To book an appointment during regular hours via HotDoc you will need to register via HotDoc. This can be done via their website or by installing the Hotdoc App via Google Play or Apple Store

Please ensure that you have selected Castle Hill Medical Centre as your preferred provider. A series of short questions will then be asked in relation to your apointment.

When selecting the appointment type, please ensure you choose “Telehealth Video Consult” as highlighted below. If an error is made make sure to click back and select the correct option .
