As an experienced GP I believe passionately that good quality primary care helps people to be happier and to live longer.
Having been in practice for over 40 years, with more than half of that in the Hills, I have many patients who agree. As a parent and now grandparent, I am passionate about supporting families through all of their lives and seeing them grow and prosper in the Hills community.
My special interests are respiratory illnesses, particularly asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), helping people with long-term conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, counselling and the diagnosis and management of skin cancer.
As well as being the former President of the International Primary Care Respiratory Group (www.theipcrg.org), I have also been actively involved in medical education and in December 2004, was appointed Adjunct Associate Professor in the Discipline of General Practice, University of Sydney.
I have three delightful grandchildren who I enjoy spending time with, as much as I enjoy handing them back to their parents.
