PsychologistTues - Thurs
Prior to moving to the Hills in 2011, I was a lecturer for the Master of Forensic Psychology program at Western Sydney University. I also taught Postgraduate Diploma units. I have a Masters in Child and Adolescent Psychology and Masters in Forensic Psychology. Overall I have 20 years experience in psychological assessment and clinical practice.
During my time as an academic, I supervised clinical placements and student research/theses. I was academic consultant for the psychological test library. During the same period, I had a private practice two evenings a week, was Secretary for the APS College of Forensic Psychologists, and was Production Editor for the International Journal of Forensic Psychology.
After leaving academia in 2012, I worked at Parklea Correctional Centre providing risk assessment and psychological treatment services to serious offenders in a maximum security setting. After Parklea I worked in private practice at four different medical centres, including Norwest.
In 2013, I started my practice at Castle Hill Medical Centre. During my experience in academia and as a practitioner, I have had the honour of working with some of the best psychologists in our profession, and have had the privilege of learning from them, the necessary best practice skills in treating most conditions in psychology.
My main interests include the Anxiety Disorders, most notably Panic Attacks, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, and PTSD, and Marriage, Relationship, and Family Problems. I also have interest in Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders (Narcissistic and Borderline); Grief and Bereavement; Overcoming Trauma; Adolescent Issues; Assertiveness and Self-Esteem Skills; and Anger and Conflict Resolution.
